PHILOSOPHY
& APPROACH
As the Performance Kinetics Consultant with the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble, I work with professional singers to improve their voice intonation, enhance breath support, and develop better agility and flexibility in their singing.
My core belief is that singers can take much greater agency over their physical instrument when they learn to more intuitively understand the motor mechanics of how they sing and find their voice. Success with my approach means experiencing a unique methodology developed to integrate function to form in a novel and replicable personal syllabus that allows singers to achieve and maintain individual mastery of their breath.

My breath support approach will help you:
• Improve dynamic body alignment
• Strengthen essential singing muscles
• Support better control of relaxed inhalation and exhalation
• Improve breathing expansion in the chest, ribcage and lower spine to enhance free and uninhibited breath
• Reduce performance anxiety
• Eliminate uneven breathing patterns
• Provide a specific and understandable instruction process to coordinate breath for singing
• Increase vocal range
• Develop physical agility in the production of breath to support voice
• Improve stage presence
• Enhance consistency in singing output
• Release unnecessary jaw and root tongue tension
• Increase vocal stamina
• Eliminate uneven vibrato
